This is for a used Camshaft and Timing Gear. Fits a 1937-40 Ford Passenger, Pickup, and Truck with a Flathead V8 60 hp engine. This Camshaft and Timing Gear was removed from a FoMoCo "Remanufactured" Engine Assembly. This Camshaft has a #3 Casting Number, and the Fiber Timing Gear has a Ford script, U.S.A., and number 52-6256 on it's face.
These early V8 distributors (used 1942 to 48) were mounted to the front of the Flathead engines. They were generally set for timing in a special fixture, but can be set in this way too. Adjust the breaker gap to.014 to.016 inch.
